About

Let’s go flying! I’m David Steele, owner and operator of Steele Warbirds. I’m a third generation pilot growing up around aviation and soloing my first plane as a teenager. I’ve got over 20,000 hours of flight time from small antiques to jumbo jets while working at a major US Airline.

My love for aviation accompanied with being a WWII history buff led me to flying the North American AT-6 Texan. One of the most famous warbirds from WWII, this aircraft was known as The Pilotmaker. Nearly every WWII pilot trained in the Texan and was the last plane they flew before climbing in a fighter and going off to war. Be a part of history in a plane that’s actually been there.
